A voir ou revoir : May B, l'hommage à Beckett de Maguy MarinCette semaine dans le cadre du festival Paris Quartier d'été, la Compagnie Maguy Marin présentera May B, une pièce majeure de la danse contemporaine créée en 1981 et inspiré de l'oeuvre de l'écrivain Samuel Beckett.
"Quand les personnages de Beckett n'aspirent qu'à l'immobilité, ils ne peuvent s'empêcher de bouger, peu ou beaucoup, mais ils bougent", explique Maguy Marin. Sur cette analyse, la chorégraphe fonde la gestuelle d'une danse qui abolit ses frontières avec le théâtre, mais aussi avec la philosophie : existence, solitude, inquiétude, néant. Les 10 danseurs de Maguy Marin, le visage recouvert d'argile et le souffle crispé, donnent corps aux notions que Beckett explora dans ses pièces les plus connues (En attendant Godot, Fin de partie) comme dans sans ses romans (L'innommable, Mercier et Camier). Des notions universelles, à n'en pas douter, comme le suggère le succès mondial de May B, qu'on pourra voir ou revoir du 5 au 7 août dans la cour du Palais Royal.
